Mityana town was not left out on the elections victory parties craze. Last week, CBS FM presenter Ssozi Kaddu-Mukasa, the winner for Mityana South parliamentary seat, thanked his supporters with a concert featuring the Eagles Production.
From the start of the concert, it was evident that Mityana residents were big time fans of the Eagles Production band. By as early as 2:00pm, a mammoth crowd was already queuing to enter Kasaawe Stadium. However, the concert started at 6:00pm.
The Eagles gave the fans a four-hour non-stop performance. The band’s new-kid-on-the-block Stacia Mayanja was one of the crowd’s favourite with her Kirango and Onumya Nyo. She also sang Wabanswaliza, a duet with Sekyewa and the audience cheered as she seductively wiggled her waist!
Geoffrey Lutaaya, Haruna Mubiru, Catherine Kusaasira, Grace Sekamate, Mesach Semakula, Fred Seruga and Ronald Mayinja just had to step on stage and leave the rest of the work for the crowd, which sang along and cheered wildly.
The fans endured a heavy downpour and used chairs as umbrellas until the last performer, Ronald Mayinja, sung his latest hit Bunkenke.
The highlight of the night was when Semakula sung his massive gospel hit Kankutendereze along with Kaddu-Mukasa. They worked fans into a frenzy as they thanked God for Kaddu-Mukasa’s victory.
