“The e-government programme is yet to be implemented although Cabinet had directed ministries to start budgeting for information and communication technologies. However, financial releases from the finance ministry did not include funds for the technologies,” NPA’s director Constantine Bitwayiki said.

$12b revenue
UGANDA earned $12m (about sh21.7b) from 1,400 metric tonnes of fruits and vegetable exports last year, Frank Magala, the chairman of Association of Fresh Products Exporting Companies, has said.
Magala said this was the first time for Uganda to register such high revenue from fruit and vegetable exports, which was due to their organic nature.
