BUYING and selling airtime using scratch cards will soon become a thing of the past with the introduction of e-distribution channels.

“We are introducing a new way of buying and selling airtime. It is a secure system of delivery, environmentally friendly, and hassle free as you can load airtime without scratching any papers,” said Rod Chacon, the chief executive of Electronic Distribution.

The system has been launched with a fleet of resellers, available in all street corners to find the customers or be within easy reach of customers.

“We have already deployed a sizeable number of street resellers in Kampala. Dressed in orange jackets with the e-logo, these are the mobile e-points where you can always get your airtime,” Chacon said.

This becomes the second company to launch this concept after Bankom.
The machines will be distributed in restaurants, fuel stations, shops, financial institutions and other places.
