Darious Magara reports that the outgoing MP said on Thursday that the areas to benefit were Rushaki, Kakoma Rubaya.
bamwanga said four transformers would be installed to boost the project.
Kabagambe Kallisa, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and mineral development, in a letter requested the district to mobilise the locals to contribute towards and support the project.
The February 8 letter was addressed to the district chairman.
“We have finalised negotiations with the consultant and contractor for execution of the additional works and the contractor will soon be moving to the site to commence on extra works,†the letter read.
It said the locals were expected to contribute towards clearing the proposed sites.
