NKUMBA University pulled off stunning wins, defeating Kampala City Council (KCC), Citystars and Old Kampala Deaf (OKD) volleyball clubs in the Serie A men’s national league at Sharing Hall, Nsambya last weekend.

DEOGRATIUS Ssali has been chosen to represent Barclays Bank at its mini world cup at Birmingham City FC home ground, St Andrews London, May 17. The former Super Cubs FC player gathered 71 points at a one day Barclays staff clinic on Sunday and will join his Barclays Africa and Middle East teammates from Kenya, Egypt, Dubai, Botswana, Mauritius, Seychelles and Zimbabwe for a nine day training in Johannesburg.

Lira kids gala
LIRA Kids U-15 soccer league kicks off this weekend with ten teams in action. The coordinator, Dorothy Osman, made the confirmation while closing a one-day sensitisation workshop at Wills Comfort Guest House, on April 7. The workshop drew 21 participants from primary schools.

Boys triumph
Lira district will host the national games and sports for Technical Institutes and Vocational Training Schools starting April 19. Lira Town College will meanwhile, host the national Schools girls football tournament. The college games teacher, Susan Anek said arrangements were complete and teams arrive on April 20.
