The newly-registered company, Gifted by Nature Inc., will provide a framework for pushing Uganda’s branding efforts to the next level, trade minister Daudi Migereko has said, writes Vision Reporter.
Migereko said with the conclusion of the six-month CNN campaign on April 2, the new company, which is a public private sector partnership, is expected to take up stewardship of the programme of maintaining Uganda’s profile locally and internationally.
“Since the launch of Brand Uganda by the President in 2005, a lot has been attained in regard to enhancing awareness about Uganda, our image and what we have to offer,†he said.
“The challenge is to continue and sustain what has been started. This initiative must be driven by the private sector since it has the resources,†Migereko said.
He was addressing the business community and government officials at a meeting about updating the branding campaign at the foreign affairs ministry.
