PEPSI-Cola sales went up by 20% last year, the marketing manager, Dan Muchiri said in Luweero recently.

PEPSI-Cola sales went up by 20% last year, the marketing manager, Dan Muchiri said in Luweero recently.
Muchiri said they were continuing with an agressive sales promotion campaign to boost the sales further, although they were already enjoying a comfortable market share.
“We cannot relax because even when you are standing you have to watch out or else you may fall,” Muchiri said in an interview.
Muchiri and central region officials were in Luweero to officiate at the sales promotion bash, which was code-named “Pepsi fun weekend,” a new sales campaign, in which consumers win instant prizes.
To qualify for instant draws, participants buy Pepsi products. A senior one girl, Rose Nabayizzi, won sh300,000.
/= . Several other winners went away with smaller cash prizes and PEPSI branded items that included :T-shirts,caps and sodas.
The soda prices were reduced to 300/= a bottle during the afternoon promotion which was spiced up with the presence of the Amarula family dancing group.
Muchiri said the PEPSI fun Week-end sales promotion campaign is yet another gesture by the soda company to thank their consumers and distributors for their support and to create awareness about PEPSI products
