YOUTH Alert Mission Organisation (YAMORG), a local NGO has given sh4m to three schools as fees for 37 students in Buikwe County, Mukono district.

While handing over the money to Equator College Lugazi, Lugazi Progressive College and Buganda Royal Academy schools at the NGO’s offices in Lugazi town council, the NGO’s director and also MP for Buikwe West Constituency, Norman Muwulize, appealed to students hailing from Buganda region to read hard as a way of uplifting the kingdom’s heritage.

“The students from Buganda should make sure that they succeed in education so as to uplift the kingdom’s heritage,” he said.

Muwulize urged students to respect Kabaka Mutebi’s call for education to all Buganda’s children.

He also stressed that students should portray good behaviour in schools and disassociate themselves from acts of indiscipline like strikes so as to achieve their goals in life.

Muwulize challenged the beneficiary schools to perform excellently in their studies so as to attract donors for more funds.

He said the assistance is extended annually to children from very poor families, orphans and others who are identified as needy children by a special committee of the NGO.
