FUFA has deployed CEO Charles Masembe and former Cranes coach Mike Mutebi to pick players for the national U-17, U-19 and U-20 teams from the Coca Cola tournament in Masindi.

FUFA public relations officer Aldrine Nsubuga said yesterday that the tournament was used to identify the players because it draws schools from all over the country and features genuinely young players.

“We are looking at 70 players who will form the core of the national team and definitely the Coca Cola championship has a very wide scope because it represents the whole country,” Nsubuga explained.

Meanwhile the federation media committee chairman Rogers Mulindwa announced that the regional schools football championships which was set for June in Mbale has been postponed to July to give FUFA technical committee and the schools enough time to prepare.
