THE Kenyan Ligi Ndogo team had a successful tour of Uganda after they won two out of three titles in build-up friendlies on Sunday.
The Kenya U-6 and U-10 teams beat their Uganda counterparts at Kampala Parents School ground.

The Kenyans toured Kampala as part of their preparations for the East Africa Championship later this year.

UJL who organised the tour settled for the U-13 final which they won after defeating the visitors 4-2.
“Such competitions are healthy and I wish national federations (in Uganda and Kenya) could take advantage to spot these kids,” Ligi Ndogo executive director Walter Matheio said.

* The Kids League (TKL) and European Union HIV/Aids Awareness football tournament will take place from May 4 to May 7 in Kampala.

Twelve teams from Kenya, Sudan, Burundi and Uganda have been invited to play in the boys U-15 tournament that has been sponsored by the European Union, UNICEF, World Health Organisation, World Food Programme, Stanbic Bank, Coca Cola and Azur Drinking Water.

The KKL U-14 team, currently preparing to defend their Gothia World Youth Championship title, will compete along with TKL teams from Gulu, Kitgum, Lira, Arua, Kumi and an IDP camps team. A Kampala Anti Aids United team will also feature.

The tournament kicks off with qualifying games on Friday and Saturday at International School of Uganda (ISU). The final will be at KCC grounds at Lugogo on Sunday.
