Foreign teams here for AIDS tournament

KENYAN U-15 boys’ football teams, Ligi Ndogo and Friends of Sport (FOS), and Burundi Direct arrived in Kampala yesterday where they are expected to compete in the European Union Day HIV/AIDS Awareness tournament today.

KENYAN U-15 boys’ football teams, Ligi Ndogo and Friends of Sport (FOS), and Burundi Direct arrived in Kampala yesterday where they are expected to compete in the European Union Day HIV/AIDS Awareness tournament today.
The three-day Kids League organised tournament has also attracted nine local teams from Arua, Lira, Kumi, Kitgum, Luwero and Internally Displaced People’s (IDP) camps in Gulu.
The teams are booked at Bonita in Lubowa off Entebbe road.
They are pooled in three groups. TKL Kitgum will play U-14 Gothia Cup Champions Kampala Kids League (KKL) in the competitions whose preliminaries start at 8.30am at Bonita and International School in Uganda today.
“Most of them have arrived and we are registering them now. Others are still in town and we are collecting them together at Bonita,” the organising secretary George Luwou said yesterday.
The final will be shifted to the KCC ground at Lugogo.
