APAC — About 560 households in Ngai trading centre IDP camp have received iron sheets for resettlement in their villages. The 16,800 iron sheets were distributed at Ngai sub-county headquarters recently, with each household getting 30 sheets. Resident district commissioner Lt. Alfred Chandia said each household would also receive two oxen and an ox-plough. He warned businessmen against buying the items.

First aid call
LIRA — First aid providers have been urged to improve the quality of life in IDP camps. Red Cross field coordinator Vincent Odoch made the call on Thursday while briefing Red Cross volunteers who had been undergoing a training on community-based first aid at Lira central primary school.

IDPs receive
GULU — The district has received 5,600 iron sheets from the Premier’s office for resettlement of displaced persons. RDC Max Omeda received the iron sheets on Wednesday.
