The out-going bishop of Ankole Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Elisha Kyamugambi, has urged Christians of Kyamate Archdeaconry to give God a tenth of their income to support the church.
Kyamugambi was preaching at Kyamate church recently.
He asked the congregation to cooperate with the bishop who would replace him.


78m/- project
KASESE — The European Union under the civil society capacity-building programme has donated sh78m for an artificial insemination project. The one-year project will be implemented by the district farmers’ association. Launching the project in Kasese town last week, the district veterinary officer, Jerome Tumushabe, said unless people stopped subsistence agriculture, they would remain in poverty.

KASESE — An administrator in the South Rwenzori Diocese has scoffed at the western lifestyle, saying it ruins African culture and aggravates HIV/AIDS. The diocesan secretary, the Rev. Canon Nason Baluku, was speaking at a graduation ceremony for 27 nurses and midwives at Kagando Hospital.
