MP pledges<br>MOYO — Santos Eruaga, the Moyo East MP, has said he is willing to work closely with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) because that is the only way the people of his constituency can benefit from development programmes. Eruaga lost the NRM primaries and stood as an independent.

MOYO — Santos Eruaga, the Moyo East MP, has said he is willing to work closely with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) because that is the only way the people of his constituency can benefit from development programmes. Eruaga lost the NRM primaries and stood as an independent. Under the law he cannot only rejoin the NRM after resigning.

Girls urged
JINJA — The municipality senior education officer, Jonathan Kamwana, has urged girls in education institutions to contest for leadership positions to prepare them for future leadership roles. This was at the swearing-in of Angel Namuwonge, the guild president of Jinja Vocational Training Institute on Thursday.

Leaders plan
GULU — Leaders from Acholi sub-region are on a three-day retreat to strategise and plan for the region. The retreat, which started yesterday, is taking place at Pearl Afrique hotel with 84 participants the chairman organising committee and Aswa MP Reagan Okumu said.
