POLICE is about to build a forensics laboratory in Bugolobi. This is long overdue. New scientific techniques can often provide decisive evidence in criminal cases.

Too many prosecutions in Uganda collapse because of the poor quality of evidence and criminals escape justice. The Police are to be commended for bringing their investigation techniques into the modern age.
