PEARL Building construction Company has handed over a school for war-affected children in Gulu to the government.

The construction of Laroo Boarding primary school, located in Laroo division, Gulu municipality, which started last year, cost sh3.86b.

Education minister Namirembe Bitamazire, flanked by state minister for primary education Peter Lokeris, received the keys for the school at the campus on Monday.

Bitamazire urged Gulu authorities to supervise the school operations.

She said the school had a special curriculum strictly developed and adopted to fit the new challenges to educate and counsel children born during the war or who were abducted and grew up in the hands of the LRA rebels.
