Had it not been for Post Bank’s Pamela Nakityo, it would have been only about feasting. But she made the Western Union gala dinner at Speke resort Munyonyo on Saturday exciting.
During the convention, the entertainment highlight of the first day is the product competition, which is a light hearted fashion show of the participants. While many competitors dance walked, Pamela Nakityo cat walked. And her taste in fashion did not lie.
While many knew what the dinner was about, the entertainers, The obsessions, did not mind. Instead of paying tribute to Western Union, they used much of the performance time to announce their Wekuume album launch. Their performance got Nile Bank’s Richard Byaruhanga, and others, digging into their wallets.

New book for Budonians
AS part of celebrations to mark 100 years of Kings College Budo, a book showing nearly all the school’s former students has been published. The Book, Who is Who from Budo: 1906-2006, will be launched on June 30 at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel during a function at which the Nabagereka of buganda Sylivia Naginda is expected to officiate.
The 260 page book in the red and white school colours is authored by Dr Edward Kayondo, an old Budonian and mobiliser, Old Budonians’ Club. It chronicles the different generations of Budonians from 1906 when the school was founded to date, indicating the years spent at the school, houses of residence and responsibilities.
“As an old Budonian I felt there was need for the school to have a documented history of its former students as we mark 100 years of existence,” Kayondo said.
