COURT yesterday unconditionally cleared President Yoweri Museveni’s Senior Legal Adviser, Fox Odoi, of allegations that he harassed and tortured voters on polling day, writes Edward Anyoli.
City Magistrate Margaret Tibulya freed Odoi after his lawyer Muzamiru Kibeedi applied to court, saying there were no charges preferred against his client.
“Since February 28 when you released the applicant, there was no communication from the State, neither has he been charged. My prayer is that you unconditionally set him free,†Kibeedi said. Court had ordered the release of Odoi following Kibeedi’s application.
