Mesach Semakula will launch his album, First Aid, on July 21 at Hotel Africana. Semakula, the PAM Award 2005 artiste of the year, intends to make it a launch with a difference.

Along with the album, Semakula will be releasing the first ever-commercial video documentary of any local artiste.

Local gospel singers Betty Namaganda and Betty Nakibuuka have released video collections of their best hits, but none ventured into documentary film.

“The documentary will be interspersed with music videos from the beginning of my career todate,” Semakula says.

He says it will profile his music career from his humble beginnings with the Gebros Band and will include interviews with family members, friends, fellow artistes and people who have been central to his musical success.

Mesach has shot over 13 music videos in a career that spans a little over six years, with four years of concentrate stardom.
