JINJA: Wife charged
A woman suspected to have killed her co-wife after stabbing her with a knife in the neck pit, appeared in court on Monday. Mariam Namugogo appeared before Grade One magistrate Godfrey Salaamu. She was not allowed to enter plea as her offence could only be tried by the high court. She was remanded at Kirinya Prison pending committal to the High Court.
BUKWO: Kagina visits
The Commissioner General of the Uganda Revenue Authority, Allen Kagina, on Friday travelled through Kenya to reach Suam border post in Bukwo district. Kagina and other senior URA officials were on a familiarisation tour of the institution’s facilities and on-the-spot discussion with the staff.
