KCC volleyball club emerged national volleyball champions after they gathered nine points to finish top of the round robin competition at Old Kampala SSS on Sunday.
The women, who won their second title of the year, beat KAVC, Sport-S, Nkumba University and Nemostars.
Fast growing Lugazi mixed team clinched their first title when their boys defeated Lubiri SSS 2-0 in the schools’ final to qualify for the East and Central Africa Volleyball Confederation (ECAVCO) meet due in Nairobi.
The winner of the national meet qualifies for the regional event which was revived last year.
In the girls’ category, Brethren College continued its top-flight form, trouncing Stella Maris Nsuube 2-1 to lift the title.
The men’s final failed due to poor lighting. KCC had overcome KAVC 3-2 to book a third final against Sport-S, who had eliminated Nkumba University.
