Ecweru appeals to NGOs on resettlement

STATE minister for relief and disaster preparedness Musa Ecweru has appealed to NGOs in Lango and Teso to re-direct their funds and programmes to resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs).

STATE minister for relief and disaster preparedness Musa Ecweru has appealed to NGOs in Lango and Teso to re-direct their funds and programmes to resettlement of internally displaced persons (IDPs).
He said he would meet officials of all NGOs in the two regions to chart a way towards smooth resettlement. He and Soroti Diocese Bishop Charles Obaikol, were launching distribution of resettlement kits in Amuria on Tuesday.
“I have been tasked to ensure that IDPs from Teso and Lango return to their homes by the end of the year,†Ecweru said.
