It was Enock Mulira who was Livingstone’s warden

SIR — I would like to thank Mr Andrew Ndawula Ndawula Kalema for giving us information about our politicians.

SIR — I would like to thank Mr Andrew Ndawula Ndawula Kalema for giving us information about our politicians.

However, I would like to make some corrections.

While it is true Dr Ham Mulira is a son of E. M. K. Mulira, Mulira Senior was not the one who was the warden of livingstone hall. It was Enock Mulira, Ham Mulira’s uncle who was also minister in Ben Kiwanuka’s government.

I never commented any earlier because I thought counsel Peter Mulira or the Ham Mulira himself would make this correction.

The Mulira family were prominent brothers and over 10 of them went by the same name family name.
While it may be true Susan Nakawuki is 23 years old, she is not the youngest legislator since independence.

The National Resistance council (NRC) was the equivalent of parliament and the laws it enacted have the same effect as those of parliament, though they are referred to as statutes other than Acts. Mr Conarld Buzabo of Kabula county in Rakai district became an NRC legislator at 21 years.

Otherwise I thank Mr Kalema for a job well done.
