HE may not be well-known, but Master Parrot can be grand. This was evident when he launched his debut album, Njagala Sente recently at Lido Beach in Entebbe.

If the mammoth crowd at Parrot’s launch is anything to go by, then the Leone Island singer has a huge fan base and a bright future.
Forget those concerts where fans wait until 10:00pm. By seven o’clock, the MCs Mr Mosh and WBS’ Kats, had started the party. artistes like Mad Tiger, Borne Ugandans, Gentle King, Titi, Tool Man, Fina Mugerwa and Sweet Kid curtain-raised for Parrot before he got on stage after 10:00pm.
Parrot’s performance of Mbirigo, a rendition of Jose chameleone’s 2005 PAM Award-winning hit, Kipepewo, was captivating, but his gospel anthem Ayi Mukama Katonda was the highlight. He also sung the groovy Kikompola and wound up with Njagala Sente.
Leone Island Crew boss Jose Chameleone performed after Parrot, re-igniting party moods in the audience.
