Four days after playing out a 1-1 draw against Rwanda in Kigali, Cranes assistant coach Polly Ouma yesterday stated: “We identified several weaknesses in the game against the Amavubi that will be rectified starting today.
The team played well but can perform better.â€
Botswana, that Uganda face in Saturday’s build up at Namboole, are expected in the country on Friday.
The game will hand German Laszlo Csaba a chance of monitoring the fitness and abilities of Rwanda-based players Abubaker Tabula and Vincent Kayizzi.
“I want to know how good they are before I decide on my final team,†Csaba stressed.
Csaba will also have a chance of watching the rest of the foreign-based bulk of players during the Libya friendly on August 16.
Uganda launch their Nations Cup campaign at home to Lesotho and are attempting to qualify for a first finals since 1978. Niger, and Nigeria are the other teams in the group.
