It was something akin to inciting. Precisely that! A three-course breakfast buffet heralded it all and by the time Prof Colin Gilligan from Sheffield Hallam University, was done with his talk, Innovation in Leadership, those in attendance thought all of a sudden they had been curved into the best managers to turn around business fortunes of any blue chip companies in Uganda.
Talk of motivational talking. That was what the CEO Breakfast Meeting organised by British Council at the Sheraton Hotel recently was about. Also, the Management Forum at the International Conference Centre, seemed to push enthusiasm into the overdrive. It was a talk on Brand Power: Fact or Fiction?, that invited discontent on how Uganda was being marketed.
