The project, dubbed Mukono Satellite Village, is located in Kisowera village, 7km off the Mukono-Kayunga highway. The project director, Job Mbukure, said the first phase, to cost sh1b, would end in February 2007.
“This is the second orphanage home we have built in Uganda, after Wakiso. Full enrolment starts in August 2007,” he said, adding that they will enroll between 600 and 800 children for free primary and vocational studies.
