THE Public Service Commissions (PSC) is to list jobs and activities possible for People with Disabilities (PWDs).

PSC chief Prof. Patrick Muzaale on Wednesday also told MPs on the public service and local government committee that they considered people for appointment on merit.

Responding to queries by Beatrice Byenkya, Muzaale said, “The commission at no time does it discriminate PWDs from getting appointed to government positions. We have also received the same complaints but we have resolved that all positions and activities possible for PWDs in government institutions be listed for their accessibility.”

Byenkya said PWDs in various institutions were discouraged from pursuing courses in the medical and nursing fields, saying the government could not employ them.
Muzaale also said the commission was constrained with funding, especially during the recruitment exercise.
