FORTY-eight men suspected of stealing boda boda motorcycles in Kampala city and its suburbs have been arrested.

FORTY-eight men suspected of stealing boda boda motorcycles in Kampala city and its suburbs have been arrested.

Among those arrested were Rogers Mutebi, Norman Kasozi and Joshua Nyago, who are believed to be the architects of motorcycle thefts in the city.
The trio was paraded before the press at a news conference at Central Police Station in Kampala on Monday.

Kampala Extra Police chief Grace Turyagumanawe said in the operation that led to their arrest, four boda boda cycles that had been stolen and were set for sale were recovered.

Their arrest followed after their their colleague Moses Nsubuga was detained.
