He has been absent from the music scene for a while. Luther T quit The Gents, an R&B group after the success of their single, Cinderella, to pursue a gospel music career.
Although Luther T continued singing with zeal, he failed to make an impact on the gospel scene.
His six-track album, Singa Tetwalokoka, released in 2002 was a disappointment, mainly because of upheavals in the distribution chain. The predominantly western style musical content did not help things either.
After a seven-track album, Nkusaba Kimu (Onsasire), Luther T now he is back with Toyagala Kola an album about people who won’t work, but expect to have good things in life.
Luther T (right) will launch Toyagala Kola on Sunday at Kasanga Miracle Centre at 3.00pm. Adults will part with sh3000, students sh2000 while children will pay sh1000.
Guest artistes include Judith Babirye, Martin Sseku, Robert Segawa, MC Africa, Betty Namaganda, Richard Dibya, Bebe Cool and Chameleone. Others are Kid Fox, Bobi Wine, Buchaman and Angella Katatumba.
