The Resident Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency Uganda, Susaki Takehiro, has urged scientists to make use of advanced scientific technology.
“As we commemorate the atomic bomb that hit Hiroshima in Japan during the second world war, killing over 140,000, we should blame the misuse of science technological development,” Takehiro said. Takehiro was addressing students of Kanyunki Secondary School in Kayunga district recently where Japanese teachers of science in Uganda held the first science show to encourage students to learn sciences.
Teachers and students from Butaleja, Kampala, Jinja, Masaka and Mbale attended. Takehiro promised to support the school with science requirements.
The headmaster, Godfrey Ssentongo, thanked Amanda Kingsland from Gritttlenon School, Britain who gave the school some science equipment.
