Midcom and City Beat magazine last week rewarded their customers in a joint promotion raffle.
The event, which took place at Midcom’s Acacia Avenue offices, was the first partnership promotion aimed at giving back to customers.
Seven lucky City Beat readers won Nokia 7110 phones while Midcom rewarded five clients with LG microwave ovens. Five others got music systems and two, television sets.
To participate, customers had to fill entry coupons from the magazine and post them to The New Vision offices or buy Nokia 1600 or 1100 phones and get a raffle ticket from participating Midcom outlets such as Reliable Communications, X-Tel, Telchoice, Cellular Services and NileCom.
A return ticket to Dubai, the days’ biggest prize, went to Godfrey Kibunga who bought a phone from an X-Tel outlet at Pioneer Mall.
Kupow, Midcom’s MD said for the few months they have been in operation, their phones had gained popularity.

For doing Uganda and Nokia proud, Face of Africa finalist Muniirah Namakula added to her Nokia phones stock, a high end N-Series phone (an N-72) with a 2.0 megapixel camera among other features.
