AN unbeaten 44 runs off 20 balls from on form batsman Kenneth Kamyuka paved way for Africa CC to a comprehensive eight wicket victory over Rounders in their first tie of the Luswata knockout cup yesterday.

AN unbeaten 44 runs off 20 balls from on form batsman Kenneth Kamyuka paved way for Africa CC to a comprehensive eight wicket victory over Rounders in their first tie of the Luswata knockout cup yesterday, reports Ronnie Kintu.

Kamyuka glittered, hitting four boundaries and five sixes at Kyambogo oval.

Winning the toss, Rounders that has not won a game since their inauguration in March showed they had come of age with some good batting.

They contained speed aces Kamyuka (2-26-8) and Junior Kwebiiha (2-24-8) with Aggrey Kintu (31) and Paul Eyiga (30) leading the pack as they piled 106 runs, their second best score ever.

In Jinja, Martin Ondeko (48) was the star as Nile beat JACC by 87 runs to book a slot against Tornado B in the semifinal of the event.

Uganda hosts Kenya for friendlies starting Friday.
