UNDER-19 star Roger Mukasa (right) has been called to the national team that faces Kenya this weekend.

The Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) has summoned six U-19 youngsters to join the senior team that takes on Kenya in a series of friendly international matches starting Friday.

Kenya, preparing for the 2007 World Cup in West Indies, will play three one-day matches and a three-day game against Uganda.

Jonathan Sebanjja, Jimmy Okello, Raymond Otim, Davis Arinaitwe and Roger Mukasa featured for Uganda at the U-19 youth World Cup in Sri Lanka in February.

UCA selection committee chairman Robert Kisubi was optimistic the youngsters would spur the side. The team will be without key player Kenneth Kamyuka who was dropped after missing training.

Kenya that recently lost to Bangladesh in their 2007 World Cup build-up will be led by Steve Tikolo, Kennedy Obuya and Thomas Odoyo.
