A twenty-year-old boy, Anthony Kyazze, is seeking financial assistance to undergo open heart surgery and valve replacement.
A statement from the Uganda Heart Institute (UHI), signed by Consultant Cardiologist Dr. Zina Borisova, said Kyazze, who has rheumatic heart disease, aortic valves disease and cardiac failure, needs $14,700 (about sh27m) for the surgery.
“The procedure cannot be done in Uganda, but arrangements can be made to have it done in Madras Medical Mission, India. The costs are to cover medical bills, freight and subsistence for the patient and an accompanying nurse,” the statement said.
Financial assistance in the names of UHI (Anthony Kyazze) can be deposited on account No. 1775930 Barclays Bank main branch Kampala. You can also contact Kyazze’s mother, Anne Nalwoga, on 0772-392082.
