HE might look comfortable in Egypt but Cranes striker Geoffrey Massa says playing in Europe remains his ultimate dream.

“I have a dream of playing in Europe and I am training hard to get there,” Massa revealed.

The former Police Football Club player joined third placed Egyptian giants El Shams in July this year after spending six months with El Masry. Massa scored 7 goals in the 13 games he played for El Masry before joining El Shams during the mid season transfers.

“This team is like Police, it has young players un like El Masry and everybody here is good. There is no racism and they like me because I score goals yet I am not fielded as a striker” Massa explained.

He was spotted by the Egyptians when Uganda participated in LG cup in Egypt in December last year. He scored one goal as Uganda beat World Cup bound Ecuador 2-1.

The 20-year-old Massa is lethal in front of goal as the Lesotho team found out in Cranes’ opening Nations Cup match September 2 where he scored twice in a 3-1 win.

At El Shams, he has scored five goals in four matches. El Shams Coach Ahmed Abdel Kharim was all praise for Massa.

“I like his kind of play and all the players like him. We saw him early this year while playing for El Masry, his future is bright.”

If he achieves his dream, he would be the first Ugandan after Majid Musisi to play football in the top leagues in Europe. Musisi played in France and Turkey.
