Dairy Corporation’s milk production has increased from 25,000 to 52,000 litres daily, a statement has said.
During a meeting with a delegation from the Sameer Group of Companies led by the chairman and chief executive, Naushad Merali, President Museveni thanked them for increasing the milk production.
Sameer took over Dairy Corporation in August.
The delegation briefed the President on investment ventures they intend to undertake.
Museveni welcomed the plan to accept milk from only authorised coolers in areas provided to farmers.
He said the measure would stop contamination of milk by the middlemen who dilute it.
