HUSSEIN Shukery the Volts Discotheque MD, has set a precedent in supporting sports in a big way. Last Sunday, as Muslims awaited Idd, the Volts After The Beach Pool Tournament was launched.

HUSSEIN Shukery the Volts Discotheque MD, has set a precedent in supporting sports in a big way. Last Sunday, as Muslims awaited Idd, the Volts After The Beach Pool Tournament was launched.

It was dubbed after the beach because Volts has become the ultimate stopover for Kampala revellers returning from beach sojourns in Entebbe.

Top prize is an all expenses paid return ticket to Dubai. Runners up get cash prizes.

The inaugural tourney umpired by the vice president Uganda Pool Association, Jacob Busulwa saw Joinus Pool Club member, Baker Kabuye (top left) emerge winner and pocketing sh50,000. First and second runner ups Yusuf Goloba and one Sam pocketed sh30,000 and sh20,000 respectively.

Participants pay sh10,000 per game and gain points for every game they win.
