The UPDF yesterday airlifted examination papers for primary seven candidates in Kotido, Kaabong and Abim districts.
Army spokesman Maj. Felix Kulayigye said the army also provided security at all the examination centres in the three districts.
“We offered security after receiving information that some warriors planned to disrupt the primary leaving examinations (PLE),” kulayigye said.
He also confirmed that 16 soldiers were on Sunday injured in a fight with suspected ethnic Dodoth warriors on Morungole Mountains, north of Kaabong.
Warriors in Rengen sub-counties in a separate incident killed 15 soldiers, including the commanding officer of the 67th battalion during a cordon and search operation to recover illegal guns.
