AFTER winning the coveted Pearl of Africa Music Awards 2006 Artiste of The Year accolade, there is no doubt Bobi Wine has a solid grip on music. The singer, who also won the award for Best Afro beat Single for his hit, Omwana W’abandi, is recording more singles.

His political hard-hitting song, Ghetto, has made it to many FM radio chart shows. The song, which features Wine’s duet partner, Nubian Li, is about the life and events in the typical Ugandan ghetto. In his song, Bobi Wine tells leaders that the people in the ghetto who voted them into power, cannot own anything. Ghetto also hits at politicians who promise a lot, especially to the people living in the ghetto, but do not deliver.
