UGANDA’S 2008 Nations Cup qualifying opponents Nigeria are entangled in a coaching crisis that has only been deepened by Philippe Trousier’s revelations.

Troussier, who handled the Super Eagles in 1998 and is among the several foreign tacticians being linked to the West African country’s coaching seat, described Nigeria as a very difficult country to work.

In an interview with a local Nigeria daily The Champion, Troussier said that only foreign coaches with die-hard instinct can survive the barrage of interference by Nigerian sports officials.

“The problem is not identifying the players — it is interference from every corner. It is not easy to coach in Nigeria; but if you have to, you must be a cowboy,” he said.
