<b>Kikwete due</b><br>KAMPALA-Tanzania President Jakaya Kikwete arrives today for a three-day State visit at the invitation of President Yoweri Museveni.

KAMPALA-Tanzania President Jakaya Kikwete arrives today for a three-day State visit at the invitation of President Yoweri Museveni. The visit will be Kikwete’s second to Uganda since he became President. He is expected to give a keynote address at the Military Staff College, Kimaka in Jinja, according to a statement issued by the foreign affairs ministry. It said a bilateral cooperation agreement between Tanzania and Uganda is expected to be discussed and agreed upon. It added that a joint communique would be issued on Saturday by the two presidents. They will also address a press conference.

WHO warns
GENEVA-A meningitis epidemic has broken out in southern Sudan, with 16 deaths among 231 suspected cases since September, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Tuesday. It said the outbreak is in Greater Yei County in the Central Equatorial State, where an investigation is underway and a vaccination programme targeting 300,000 people is planned.

Mukula files
KAMPALA-Former health state minister Mike Mukula yesterday filed his main application seeking court orders to quash the Justice James Ogoola commission report. Ogoola chaired the commission of inquiry into the mismanagement of the Global Fund money. Mukula, who has filed 20 affidavits to support the application, also wants court to stop the implementation of the report in its current state.
