Now that the Blu*3’s (below) latest single Nsanyuka Naawe is getting tremendous radio play, they have moved on to bigger things –– a sizzling new album that they say is different.

Fans should get ready for the 19-track twin CD album titled Burn. The tracks are done in R&B, hip-hop, soft rock, reggae, jazz and even kidandali. This one has variety. The songs are in Luganda, Swahili and English.

The album features hot shots like Navio, Ghanaian pop stars Reejay, the Kenyan Mr. Googz, as well as Babaluku of the Hip-hop All Stars

“This is perhaps the most exciting album that I have produced throughout my career. It has taken me ages, yes. I trust the songs will remain radio favourites for several years and be appreciated by fans in the US, UK, Japan, Ghana and Uganda,” says Steve Jean, the producer.

The album will hit the stores soon. But Bob King Mwangi, a presenter on UBC radio, says he just cannot wait to put all the songs on air. “I know BLU*3 have always been a sizzling high-tech affair and they will not release anything unless they are sure it is going to be big. And this time round, they are appealing to not only the hip outgoing Generation X but to their parents as well,” he says.
The trio is now shooting the video for Burn.
