BANK of Uganda (BOU) will issue another sh20b five-year treasury bond on November 29. The bond will have a 10.75% coupon rate.

The issue is aimed at meeting the central bank’s monetary policy targets, a senior official said on Wednesday.

Stephen Kaboyo, the financial markets department deputy director, said the last five-year bond offer was in May.

“The bond has been issued to meet our monetary policy targets and satisfy the market appetite,” he said.

Kaboyo said while the offer was outside the bond calendar, it would remain in force with a bond issue every 28 days.
