A man accused of splashing water onto the presidential motorcade is to be released on bond. Kampala Extra traffic chief Lawrence Niwabiine yesterday said, “I think we are going to release him on Police bond because we do not want him to stay in the cells for long.” Frank Kalyango, who works with Cementers, a firm renovating the Clock Tower, was arrested last week.

The price of paraffin has reduced further from sh1,700 to sh1,650. The reduction comes barely a week after prices of fuel products went down. The price reduction has been noted at stations like Shell, Caltex, Gapco, Delta, Gaaz, Moil and Kobil. Shell Uganda country chairman Ivan Kyayonka said fuel prices have continued to fall on the international market resulting in the current drop in the local prices.
