Janet donates sh5m to school

FIRST Lady Janet Museveni has hailed the administration of Kibubura Girls Secondary School in Ibanda district for their contribution to education.

FIRST Lady Janet Museveni has hailed the administration of Kibubura Girls Secondary School in Ibanda district for their contribution to education.

She was on Saturday officiating at the school’s silver jubilee celebrations, where she contributed sh5m and pledged two computers and printers.

The school was founded in 1981 by Ankole diocese and is named after Julia Kibubura, the first woman gombolola chief in Uganda.

“I thank the school administration for their role in the period the school has existed. The girl students manifest the good job done,” Janet said.

She laid a foundation stone and raised over sh17m for completing and equipping the computer laboratory at the school.

The old girls launched their association.
Present at the function were works state minister John Byabagambi, Ibanda RDC Jean Kaliba, Ankole diocese bishop Elisha Kyamugambi and LC5 chief Melchiadis Kajwengye.
