THE Kampala Kids League U-16 side stormed the semi-finals of the Shell U-16 Champions league yesterday with a 2-1 win over Masindi at Old Kampala.

Brighton Lubega and Julius Ssennoga spearheaded the KKL side with the two goals.

The KKL boys will lock horns with rivals Kampala Central in the semi-final tie that will be held next Saturday at the same venue.

Lugazi sailed to the last four thanks to Titus Lubega, who scored his second goal of the tournament. However they are yet to know their opponent at the next stage after Masaka filed a petition that Makindye, who had beaten them 3-1 fielded an illegible player.

The finals will be played on January 23 at Nakivubo Stadium.

Shell Uganda Limited have pumped sh30m into the Friends of Football (FOF) organised tournament that is held annually. Twenty teams took part in the tournament.
