FUFA POLLS
ONE of the pillars of Denis Obua’s campaign team ahead of the FUFA polls has switched to the Lawrence Mulindwa camp, reports James Bakama.
Justus Mugisha announced his move to the opposing camp yesterday saying that he was shifting for the good of football.
“When I look around, I see Mulindwa as the best candidate. It’s time Obua gave way to better candidates,†said Mugisha, whose brief in Obua’s campaign included organising meetings on strategy.
Mugisha, a former National Football League Committee secretary, went on to advise Obua to step aside and give way for fresh persons.
“It’s for his own good that he steps aside. The public, which has a stake in Ugandan football is demanding for a change. If we insist on the status quo, the game could die.â€
Obua is seeking a third term in a battle that has him against Voice of Africa FM’s Badru Sebyala, former FUFA treasurer Michael Okiror and St Mary’s Kitende SS proprietor Lawrence Mulindwa.
