BONIFACE Kiprop will be out to test leading long distance ace Ethiopian Kenenisa Bekele, when he fights to defend the Italian Cinque Mulini International cross country next month, reports Norman Katende.
The current Ugandan leading track star and national record holder in both the 5000m (13:5.47) and 10000m (27:4.00) takes on the world record holder in both the 5000m (12:37.35) and 10000m (26:20.31) at the 73rd edition of the international race on February 6.
Kiprop won last year’s edition after clocking 34:47, beating renowned athletes like Ukraine’s Lebid Sergiy and Kenya’s Robert Kipgnetich to the top accolade.
