KAMPALA — The Nakawa deputy RDC, Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, has criticised government bureaucrats for slowing down programmes by being late. He was recently speaking at the launch of the ‘Take Charge’ programme initiated by the Uganda Bible Society, which some invited officials failed to attend.
Witness held over ticket
MASAKA – There was drama in the Chief Magistrate’s Court when a witness was detained after he presented a tax ticket of a suspect wanted by court. Phillip Nuwamanya was to stand surety for his father, Avancia Munyandinda, who is facing an arson charge.

Mukula tips on loose sex

WAKISO – The health state minister has warned against treating sex as a hobby. Mike Mukula said the habit could lead to a population explosion. He was speaking at a workshop on family planning at Botanical Beach Hotel in Entebbe last week.

Man sues over land

KAMPALA — A man has sued 53 people for building on his land in Lukuli, Makindye Division. Suleiman Lwanga recently told the High Court that he was being denied full usage of his land. He said he was yet to receive the promised compensation.
